This Week in Cartoons
Um, just in case there's anyone else out there who still cares about South Park, or whatever's left of it: Oh, my God, they finally killed Kenny. You bastards.

Posted by Stella at April 08, 2002 12:10 PMThe Boyfriend was wondering what happened to Kenny during this current season. I had to remind him that Kenny actually died of some disease in the final show of the last season. It was the only time where the rest of the kids actually CARED about what happened to him, to the point of actually trying to find a cure. They even reacted when Kenny finally died. So I figured it might have been the end.
Butters is a nice replacement though. Suitably naive enough for the rest of the boys to take advantage of.
I must be the only person who still enjoys watching that show...
You know, I watched at most the first two seasons of that show, off and on. I did appreciate the humor... but after a while, I stopped tuning in.
I had no idea they were still making new episodes, and I can certainly imagine how killing Kenny - let alone many of its other regular gags - can get old.
I liked Kenny best, though, which makes his permanent demise a bummer. The good news is, I have no doubt his image will be adopted and waved everywhere by fans all over. He'll be the first "South Park" martyr.
(And HTML is on in comments now. Have fun!)
I think I gave up on South Park as soon as I found out about the movie, and that was before I stopped getting cable (ie. by moving out and getting my own place). Before that, I was watching every few episodes, even had the misfortune of tuning in when they substituted Terrance and Phillip for the episode about Cartman's father.
I did see a few glimpses of this season's eps, though, and I just hope the writers do have fun with Butters. But, man, that thing with Cartman doing the song-and-dance numbers as Shakira... yeeks.
I stopped watching South Park when I moved from working nights to working early mornings. I didn't have cable at home, so I fell out of habit.
Even when I finally got cable about 1 1/2 years ago, I would watch Law and Order reruns instead of new South Park episodes.
I did catch some new episodes while channel flipping one night, and I was wondering what happened to Kenny. I loved the fact Kenny could get away with the raunchiest and most vulgar lines in the show without having to get bleeped.
So, uh, does that mean the theme music has changed? And do you think Kenny really sings, "I like girls with big fat titties/I like girls with big vaginas"?
Woo-hoo, HTML!
So, uh, does that mean the theme music has changed?
Yep, it's Timmy saying his name to the melody. "Timmy-timmy-timmy-timmy"...etc.
And do you think Kenny really sings, "I like girls with big fat titties/I like girls with big vaginas"?
I'm taking that one at face value since that's what the creators have often said was the true lyric... :)
