Like Wintergreen Altoids, but for your head
I've gone to Regis Salon twice and have enjoyed their service. Though somewhat more pricey compared to other hair stylist establishments, I personally find it worth it.
What makes it worth the 25 greenbacks? The shampoo and conditioner treatment I recieved each time I've gone (I'll assume it's part of the service). They used the Paul Mitchell Tea Tree shampoo and conditioner and I love it! It's like Wintergreen Altoids for your head.
Most shampoos and conditioners I've had were just your run of the mill ones. From Head & Shoulders to TRESemmé. I'm not totally into bath and body stuff (though I wouldn't mind trying a bath salts soak thing) but the effect that the Tea Tree combination inflicts is unbelievable. When applying, it vaguely scents of Tiger Balm but gets to a minty smell after a short while. Your scalp tingles and feels super cool (like snow speckling your head). When rinsing with cold water, it gets even cooler.
I swear, after a treatment like that, you lose several braincells. I felt all revitalized and light headed (on the airy side, not dizzy). So I bought the two for home use. Though it's still good, it's not great since I have to apply them myself. heh heh...
But, before I ramble on, I'd like to know if any of you have or know other types of products that just makes you feel really really really good (other than alcohol and other, um, stuff). :)

hey, I use that stuff! Body Shop has a minty bodywash that I like (comes with a warning!), but they reduced the size of the bottle, so I need to find something similar but cheaper...
Estee Lauder has a product called Idealist "skin refinisher"--it makes your skin feel like suede, hehe.

Bath & Body Works silkening products! When are we getting a store down here?!
Excellent and cheap: St. Ives apricot scrub. Makes you feel like you just got a new face.
Splurge: Flavahs hair products, found at Image Salon on Queen St. downtown. Yummy! (Even has "Do not eat" warning on bottle.)

"Do not eat" warnings! Those products must be real tempting. I'll keep those in mind, thanks!

The Philosophy line of shampoo and body wash are excruciatingly delicious smelling. I personally like the pie collection. Tasty and readily available from Sephora.

Bio Silk!! I love it! I have curly hair and when I brush my hair, it becomes a "afro" (is what my daughter calls it) But the Bio Silk helps calm it down and it smells really good. You can use it on your body and it really is like silk! You can get the products at any salon. I do recommend the silk therapy. :)

Ooh, one more ... I just got back from Turtle Bay with my pockets full of their green facial soap, which is made in Hawaii by LEXUS International, LLC. (Their "bath soap," by the way, is like any other hotel bath soap, sort of waxy and not wonderful-smelling.) But the facial soap, ahh. It smells so great and leaves your skin feeling actually clean. When I got tired of calling housekeeping to ask for more, I made do by filching lots from the maid's cart in the hall. It's that good!

Pardon, make that LUXUS, not LEXUS. Their site luxushawaii.com is under development but apparently you can still order their products via e-mail.
